This is my second year as the IDT head coach and my 6th year coaching a high school dance team. Growing up, I went to various studios starting at the age of 3 at Pat Peare's School of Dance. I was a Lakeville Lakeliner in 9th grade until I moved out of that district and then became a member of the Burnsville Bravettes for the remainder of high school.
I currently live in Apple Valley with my daughter, Ashley, and our cat, Kitty. I also have a son, Jordan, who lives in Becker, MN. Free time? What's that? When I have free time, I spend it with my kids or aimlessly wandering Target.
Varsity Assistant Coach
I began my training at Spectrum Dance, Metro Dance Center, and Larkin Dance Studio. I attended Highland Park Senior High School where I performed and competed with the dance team for 5 years and captain for my final 2 years. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, primarily on an academic and dance scholarship, competing and performing with the Gustavus Dance Team and the Gustavus Dance Company all four years. I was lucky enough to have a piece of my own submitted for adjudication at the American College Dance Festival.
I have been teaching Jazz and Contemporary at Spectrum Dance since 2010. I am a 3-time national choreographer winner for both Jazz and Contemporary. In the most recent years, I was one of the Varsity Jazz coaches at Apple Valley High School for past two seasons.
Junior Varsity Co-Coach
This is my first year coaching with the Irishettes. I currently teach both competitive and recreational students at Holly’s Dance in Lakeville. I was a competitive studio dancer for 13 years of training in ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theatre. I was a member of the Shakopee Dance and Cheer teams throughout high school. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two cats and trying new coffee.
Junior Varsity Co-Coach
Annabelle grew up dancing in the Twin Cities and is entering her 7th year of teaching competitive and recreational studio dancers. She has won multiple Judge's Choice and Overall Awards as both a dancer and choreographer for her tap, musical theatre, and jazz dances. She was the captain of her high school dance team where she was named South Suburban Conference Honorable Mention and a member of the MN All-State Jazz Team. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.S in mechanical engineering; while at St. Thomas, she was a 4-year member and 2-year captain of the St. Thomas cheer team. In her spare time, she enjoys rhinestoning, going to Target, and spending time with her cats Snoopy and Noelle.
Fall Performance Coach
Jade was the winter Junior Varsity coach for the last two years. This year, she is excited to take on the Fall Performance team!
She is passionate about growing the team and helping condition our dancers so they are prepared for the competitive season! Jade is currently a school counselor at Rosemount Middle School. She lives in Farmington with her husband and dog, Millie.
When she is not coaching she is hiking, baking, taking yoga classes or reading a new best seller.
